Re: Do you hate Islam ?

It isn't the individuals; it's the mindset that creates the problem and people's ignorance/defence of it that pisses me off.

Silver can kill germs. Testing the theory! Also a good idea on showing what materials to use for things that require cleanliness. Such as plasters etc. :td:

Oh fucking dear... This guy says more sex education means more pregnancies... That's such a demonstration of the whole point of sex education not to mention that it actually does reduce pregnancies not to mention it's a very effective tool at rasing awareness of various things like aids and gonorea....

Re: Why do atheists trust science?

So let's say we have the following numbers: 2,4,6,8,10,13. What you're doing is stopping at the number 10 and protesting that the next number MUST be 12, because why? IT WORKS!!! IT WORKS!!! + 2, +2, +2. IT WORKS!!! The next number is 12, because it works!!! You can protest all night long, but the ...

Re: Priceless Quotes Directed At You By Theists...

I have very few of my own but here's Richie Dee's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxdxZ47JouU Also one I saw on a topic about on the RDF forum: "No proof that god does no exist does not prove god does not exist," (after the "prove he doesn't" "we can't but lack of evidence...") So my few: "Healthcar...

Re: Questionnaire (for atheists, but others are welcome too)

- How/when did you become an atheist? As soon as I could think for myself I always was; I just didn't realise. - How/when did you "come out" to your family/friends as an atheist, if ever? Quite openly. - Have you ever faced discrimination as a result of your atheism? No; but I do not live in a higly...

Re: OPEN LETTER TO RICHARD DAWKINS

I definately agree with the toning down of the ad homs. People have done that to dawkins all the time and the forum has successfully ripped them to shreds. But indeed it gets straight to the point. EDIT: Here's something that struck me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiV5TsWCPVk Espescialy the post ...

Re: Top 10 Scientists of the 20th Century?

I'll justify the ones you'll probably disagree on. Carl Sagan Richard Dawkins* - educator & founder evolutionary computer models Stanley Milgram - (If you look at the stuff he did he was an excellent psychologist) Francis & Crick - (obviously these are two people) Albert Einstein Richard Feynman Nei...

Here's Why I Dislike Religion

Hello folks, :dq2: "Baltimore prosecutors: Cult leader, followers watched as 1-year-old boy 'wasted away'" http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=9914570 I hate it when kids collide with religions, it's demeaning and vile. Not to mention that this horrid stuff happens. It really makes me want to driv...

Re: First reaction by Richard Dawkins.

He's missed the point entirely. What about the moderators Richard?! :pissed: Although to be honest he is right about the name calling etc. I thought we'd have some discussion and action that meant something; but I didn't expect the string of abuse to come from people. I support the cause though.

Re: Announcement about RDF Part 2.

Benefit of the doubt most definitely not given in this case. The fact is that we absolutely know what happened last night, because some of us were actually there when it all went down. There was no justification, even in the face of dissent, for deleting 30,000+ posts from 5 prolific posters. That ...
