Atheism-related torrents - LOTS of good stuff!
Sup guys, I decided to host a few atheism-related torrents and could use a few help seeding these babies for a few weeks (or longer if you are able). If you need a torrent client, Utorrent is a great choice. http://www.utorrent.com/ Just install, then click the "download torrent" links at the site b...

Any fans of The Atheist Experience here?
I contacted Matt Dillahunty, president of the ACA before posting this and he informed me that it was completely legal to share these files via torrent as long as a profit is not being made on them. I came across this torrent which contains 6 years of episodes, everything from 2004-2010. This should ...

Re: Kiva.org microlending charity - Join the atheist group!
Hey folks, please help this group out by posting the link on other atheist forums/blogs you visit. It's a damn good cause, and not only does each person who joins help make the world a better place, but they also go a long way towards informing the masses that atheists aren't the selfish/self-center...

Re: Kiva.org microlending charity - Join the atheist group!
I found this info on the Kiva site. It turns out they don't charge any interest at all. They survive strictly through donations. Does Kiva make money off of this interest that borrowers pay? No. We pass 100% of the money you lend on Kiva to the local Field Partner who administers your loan to borrow...

It's a charity you silly goose.
The interest goes to help Kiva run the organization. But you can always withdraw your initial contribution if you really need it.

Kiva.org microlending charity - Join the atheist group!
http://www.Kiva.org is an awesome charity group. You're basically facilitating microlending to support low income entrepreneurs..people who need loans ranging from $100 to a few thousand in order to finance their projects. Once the loan is paid back, you can loan the same funds again to someone els...

Re: When to debate religion
Watching several clips of Dillahaunty debating a few years back is what initially grabbed my attention and ultimately led to deconversion. If I hadn't seen those clips posted on a random music forum I was visiting, I'd still be a believer. So yes, debate helps. Hearing your prized views questioned b...

Re: If you want to help someone "deconvert", what do you use
Good suggestion, thanks. It's a nice short book if I recall (around 90 pages) that should open some doors. I may get a few copies to give away as X-mas presents.

If you want to help someone "deconvert", what do you use?
I have a few "searching" Christians who are teetering on the edge of agnosticism and I'd like to give them a bump in the right direction. I'm wondering..are there any websites that make a comprehensive argument against faith? I realize this is a huge subject..but it would certainly be useful if we h...
