Re: Russia Today

It's actually likely that the economy in Crimea will enjoy a bit of a boom in the near future. Apart from some filter down of money from the people building the bridge, the tourism industry has pretty much rebounded to pre-Russian levels, after a two year fall : After the Russian annexation of Crime...

Re: Hard Brexit or Hard Brexit

Mrs May's time is nearly up.

It's not surprising, she didn't go to Eton.

That's no way to run a country.

Re: Everything you didn't want to know about Trump and were not afraid to ask

But of course, he is is the underdog, don't we all love them! But in my eyes, he is as establishment as establishment can be, the whole party he is representing is establishment. He came up with a great frame, Make-America-great, while Hillary's was Trump-is-an-idiot, we can learn something from hi...

Re: Everything you didn't want to know about Trump and were not afraid to ask

He came from nowhere, and beat all the Republicans, and Hilary Clinton. I can't stand him, but I still have to admit, he pulled off an incredible win. And he does speak well. To half of America. You don't pull off that sort of achievement without making a connection. I'm still waiting for the wall. ...

We're talking about the picture posted above, right? Schumacher was driving for Ferrari at the time it was taken, so why the tack?
I didn't say he wasn't, so wtf? The thread is about Germany, not Schumacher.

Anyway, you certainly added enough tack to add to the original.

Re: Vegan Energy

I read somewhere that termites are the biggest producers of methane on the planet. Probably bacteria in their guts too. You would think that you could rig up giant digesters to use the same bacteria to break down timber waste and produce commercial quantities of natural gas. A lot of other waste mat...

Cow only eat plants, and they produce a lot of methane. Are cow farts vegan?
It's cow burps that are full of methane, not the farts.

Human farts generally have hydrogen, not methane. A certain percentage of us have a bacterium in the gut that produces methane, but I think it's less than 50%.

The only things German in that pic are a 4 x 8 centimetre patch displaying the German flag and the person wearing the overalls.
There's not much German stuff in the Mercedes Formula 1 cars either.

Re: Russia Today

Those pesky Russians are at it again. Another bout of Novichok poisoning, just eight miles from the Earlier Salisbury incident. Like it's likely that the Russkis are going to use it on a couple of random UK residents. Right in the middle of hosting the World Cup. :D If I was in charge, I'd be having...

Re: Russia Today

a bridge to te Crimea? is that over the Kerch straits? Yes. It's a two part bridge. The road part is complete, the rail part will be finished next year. From a tourism point of view, the rail link might be more important, given the huge distances in Russia. I would think that the airport would stil...

You can now drive to Crimea from the rest of Russia. The road bridge is done and Putin opened it on 16th May by driving a truck across it. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/54/Opening_of_the_Crimean_bridge_%282018-05-15%29_16.jpg/1280px-Opening_of_the_Crimean_bridge_%282018-05-1...

Re: Hard Brexit or Hard Brexit

And yet you push this simplistic notion, that the biggest can always dictate terms, a notion that you have pulled right out of your arse. You can make these sweeping claims, unsupported by reality, and that's all fine. Funny isn't it, how South Korea has managed to survive without being in the EU. A...

Re: Hard Brexit or Hard Brexit

I've never read such claptrap. All this stuff about dominance in negotiations is bollocks. Tescos are gigantic, compared to me. That means fuck-all. If Tescos demand too much, I don't go there. Simple as that. You lot don't seem to have even the most basic grasp of economics and deals. That's why th...
