Re: Danger Man - Patrick McGoohan
I think there was an episode of Danger Man filmed at Portmerion which inspired McGoohan to use it as "The Village".

Vulcans and Super Etendards reminded me of this - amazed to find it on the interweb after all these years! http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/mongsoft/images/falklandscartoon.jpg What have Spock's mother and Port Stanley runway got in common? Both been fucked by Vulcans! I was at Cranfield when this was ...

The A-10 Thunderbolt. Still find it hard to apply the U word to an aircraft, but it's not pretty.

Re: Aircraft Appreciation thread #2 - Ugly aircraft!
84mph @ what average cruising height? 10k ft? That's going to be bloody cold. From wiki: Service ceiling: 14,173 ft (4,320 m) I think it would have had to keep close to it's ceiling to reduce the chances of interception. So sitting in a bucket half way up Everest - that sounds fucking cold alright!...

Forerunner to the DH Mosquito, the DH88 Comet (I have a deHavilland bias - something to do with working at Hatfield for many years)
