Re: RD.net to be re-revamped!

I'm a pretty rare visitor to these pages, and equally rarely visit the RD.net pages nowadays, but I'm drawn to comment. The whole RDFRS "project" seems to have pretty much foundered in the last couple of years. There seems to have been a big drive to "center" things in the USA, but that doesn't seem...

Re: Appearences of gods

There is a lovely book by Julian Jaynes that explains this, also why South America fell to the Conquistadors so easily, and many of the Homeric stories. It's either sheer brilliance, or batshit-crazy. It's "The origin of consciousness in the breakdown of the bicameral mind" . Well-written & thought-...

Re: Welcome all RDFers - what is your new name?

So, now I really need a name change again... and given I've virtually no control over my fingers I'm likely to end up as b;wbefvW BV or summat. Mind you, that avatar is... blinding! Yours, Colostomy (You realise this has a rather sad side; if my MS gets much worse, I won't NEED to change my name, ju...

Virphen, the post never existed. Neither did mine, the one you quoted. Neither do I any more... at least not here. Re: Welcome all RDFers - what is your new name?

Well, I was Daftyduck over at RDF... because I couldn't use my preferred name as some effing bugger had already swiped it... So, I come across here, and find ... some fecker had stolen it here too. (Well, a very close variant of it; too easily confused, and he had talent as a wordsmith). So, I just ...
